SSC MTS 2023 Exam

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released SSC MTS Notification 2023 announcing 11409 vacancies for SSC MTS Havaldar (CBIC and CBN) & Multi Tasking Staff on 18th January 2023. SSC MTS 2023 Exam (Multitasking Staff) is being organized by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) to recruit candidates for various posts like the post of:

1. Havaldar
2. Peon
3. Daftary
4. Jamadar
5. Junior Gestetner Operator
6. Chowkidar
7. Safaiwala
8. Mali etc.

 

Staff Selection Commission conducts SSC MTS (Multi-Tasking Staff Exam) every year in 3 different stages:

1. Paper 1 (online)
2. PET/ PST (only for the post of Havaldar)
3. Descriptive Test

 

It is mandatory for the candidate to qualify for both these stages of the SSC MTS 2023 examination in order to make it to the merit list prepared by SSC prepared at the end. As the SSC Calendar 2023, the tier 1 examination for SSC MTS 2023 exam is scheduled to be conducted in April 2023 in multiple shifts across the country. The exact SSC MTS Exam Date 2023 will be announced by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) lately.

SSC MTS & Havaldar Vacancy 2023 will be released along with SSC MTS Notification 2023 on 18th January 2023. This year Staff Selection Commission has released 10880 Multi Tasking Staff and 529 Havaldar vacancies in CBIC and CBN. SSC MTS 2023 Application Fee

The Application Fee for SSC MTS 2023 is Rs. 100/–

Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD/Ex-servicemen category are exempted from paying the application fee. In addition to this, female candidates are also exempted from paying the application fee for SSC MTS 2023 exam.

SSC MTS 2023 Eligibility Criteria

There are three major criteria that a candidate is required to fulfill in order to be eligible for SSC MTS 2023 Exam. Before filling the applications for SSC MTS Exam, the candidates must know the minimum required Eligibility Criteria in terms of nationality, education qualification, and age limit. Let’s have a look at all these three criteria:

SSC MTS Citizenship

A candidate is required to be

1. A citizen of India
2. Subject of Nepal
3. Subject of Bhutan
4. Tibetan Refugee
5. Person of Indian Origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Afghanistan, Kenya, Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam.

 

SSC MTS Age Limit (as on 01/01/2023)

The age limits for the posts as per the Recruitment Rules of various User Departments are:

2005. i) A candidate must be of minimum 18 years of age and must not exceed 25 years of age, candidates born not before 02-01-1998 and not later than 01-01-2005.
2006. ii) 18-27 years, the candidates born not before 02-01-1996 and not later than 01-01-2005.

Apart from the pre-mentioned Age Requirement, candidates belonging to reserved categories are given age relaxation as per Government Rules.

Havaldar Age Limit (as on 01/01/2023)

A candidate must be of a minimum of 18 years of age and must not exceed 27 years of age, candidates born not before 02-01-1996 and not later than 01-01-2005 are eligible to apply for Havaldar in CBIC and CBN, Department of Revenue.

SSC MTS Educational Qualification (as on 17/02/2023)

A candidate is required to pass Matriculation (10th class) or its equivalent Exam from a recognized State Board, University or Institute to be eligible to apply for SSC MTS 2023 Exam.

SSC MTS 2023 Selection Process

The eligible candidates for SSC Multi Tasking Staff recruitment will be shortlisted on the basis of three stages. A candidate needs to qualify in each stage with marks more than the cut-off announced. The three stages to be cleared are as below-

Stage 1- Paper-1 (Objective)

Stage 2- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST) (only for the post of Havaldar)

Stage 3- Paper-2 (Descriptive)

SSC MTS 2023 Exam Pattern

The examination of SSC MTS 2023 will be conducted in 2 different levels: Paper-1, PET/PST (only for havaldar). Paper-1 is an online exam that is objective multiple choice question type.

 

SSC MTS 2023 Paper-1 Exam Pattern

The revised SSC MTS Paper-I Exam Pattern has been released along with SSC MTS Notification 2023. There will be Computer-Based Examination which is divided in 2 Sessions. Session-I and Session-II and both the Sessions will be mandatory to be attempted. There will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Session 2 and there will be no negative marking in Session-1.
