On 14 October 2022 Government of Maharashtra has released a new Government Resolution (GR) for Maharashtra Police Bharti 2022. As per the information given in the new GR, The finance department has approved Maharashtra Police Bharti 2022 for 11443 Posts. Maharashtra Government has begun preparations to conduct examinations and physical tests. Official notification of Maharashtra Police Bharti 2022 for 7231 Police Constable posts will be released in the next few days. The notification for the recruitment of 12557 posts is proposed in March 2023 which is yet to receive government approval. Maharashtra Police Constable Selection Process 2022: Stages
The Maharashtra Police Constable Selection Process comprises primarily two stages i.e. a written exam and the Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standards Test (PST). Finally, after qualifying both these stages, candidates will be required to clear the document verification process before their appointment can be finalized.
Written Exam: – The written exam is conducted in pen-paper mode and is a must for all the candidates. The duration of the exam is 90 minutes in which the candidates must attempt 100 multiple-choice questions. Information regarding negative marking has not yet been shared by the department. The question paper will be divided into four sections i.e. General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Mathematics, Marathi Grammar, and Intellectual Test. Candidates need to clear the cut-off marks to be eligible for further selection rounds.
PET/PST: – Candidates who qualify for the written exam will have to appear for the PET/PST. This stage is worth 50 marks in which the physical fitness of the candidates will be tested. There are separate parameters for male and female candidates. Candidates who qualify at this stage need to appear for the document verification before being deputed as Police Constable with Maharashtra Police.
Document Verification: – It is important that the candidates keep all their documents and educational certificates ready, originals as well as photocopies. Candidates should reach the venue at the designated time and submit the documents for verification by the concerned officer. A signed copy of the admit card and a copy of the result may also be required during the process.
After completing the document verification process successfully, candidates will be posted as Police Constable under the Maharashtra Police Department.
